January 14 2109
Well to start off, Elder Long destroyed his ankle last Monday and has been in a boot all week. But that first night he couldn't get up his stairs to get home because his ankle hurt too bad and so they slept at our apartment.
But this week was an interesting one. We walked a lot but could not find anyone that was interested. It seemed every door we knocked would be slammed and every person was rude. But, because the Lord is the Almighty, we were blessed with 3 new people to teach this week Omar, Jaime, and Brandley. Omar is really cool. Despite some difficulties that he is experiencing, he wants to know if the Book of Mormon is true or not. He agreed to come to church when he can get off work. Also, he has a wife and a kid so we will be teaching the whole family once she gets back from vacation.
Jaime, is another really cool guy. He has been taught before by past missionaries but always turned them down. A while back, we felt inspired to knock his door and he set up a return appointment with him. Since then, we have taught the Restoration and invited them to pray with sincere hearts to know if our church is true. He, his wife, and son all accepted the challenge. So that is really cool!!
Brandley, well, we are struggling with him but we have faith he will push through. He just likes to take things really, really, really slow.
Another miracle from this week is that after church, we had two first lessons. One with a woman named Socorro. She expressed to us that she feels good when she comes to church and that she wants to continue coming. We set up that a member would read the Book of Mormon with her every day since Socorro has a difficulty with understanding. Then a guy from Bolivia showed up at church and said he wants him and his family to be baptized when they all get here. So that was awesome.

Sorry everything is so short all the time, I don't ever have time to write because I am always having a good time with the district. Today we are playing pickle ball with President Tateoka and I am so excited. Life is good and i hope all of you are doing well.
Today in Fred Meyers, the song Amanda was playing by Boston and it made me happy because it reminds me of home. My dad likes the band Boston haha.

Love all yall. Write me tho, I get bored sometimes.
