This week went by super-fast and it is my first week here in
the Grove. Elder Western and I have been working super hard and have been
talking to everyone we come in contact with. So we will start with Tuesday. I
got a ride to my old apartment in Hayesville and was dropped off with Elder
Western and Elder Anderson. We waited to go pick up Elder McEwan and then we
came back to the apartment. And guess who brought Elder Western and I to
the Grove.... Alexio! I was so stoked to see him. He was my ward mission leader
back in Hayseville and I love his family dearly. We were able to catch up on
life and it was great.
We got to the area and we were in a trio for a couple days
with Elder Tuttle while he waited for his trainee. We had a ton of fun. We did
some service and talked to a bunch of people. His trainer came and we went back
to our apartment.
Being the District Leader I am able to give a lot of blessings
to missionaries. I was able to give one to a new sister in the mission who is also
in my district. After that we went and got Slurpee’s and taquitos. That was
super good.
Not a lot has happened workwise; we are just cleaning up the
area and relying on the Lord to guide us to a prepared person. This area is
super pretty and I love it here. My new companion, Elder Western, is a great
guy from Heber, Utah and loves his country gospel music haha.
Spiritual thought: 3 Nephi 13:31-32
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or,
What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all
these things
Our Father in Heaven is aware of us. When times get hard, we
need to put our trust in Him. He is all knowing and all powerful.
Love all y'all
