Good day mates. This week has been so long. Probably just
because it was the first week of the transfer. But we had an awesome week. So Monday
night we had our lesson with Alex and he brought his girlfriend who is an
inactive member. We had a super spiritual lesson with them talking about the
Plan of Salvation. It was cool to see his girlfriend share her testimony even
though she hasn’t been to church in a long time. At the end of it, we started
talking about baptism. Alex accepted a baptismal date of November 23rd, two
days after his birthday. He wants to start his new year of life off on the
right foot.
Tuesday, we got up early and went down to Salem to get Elder
Ison over the mountain. It was cool to see Elder Robinson and Elder Woodruff
because it's been 6 months since I've seen them. I love those two Elders. As
the week went on, it seemed as if it would never end. We have been out tracking
a lot, just knocking doors. But we saw two tender mercies come from it.
One, we knocked a door and this girl opened and
energetically asked us if we had come for her b-day party. Confused, we said
no. She then proceeded to ask us if we wanted to come in and have cupcakes. We
told her that we couldn’t come in, so she brought us two cupcakes. She was
literally the nicest person ever.
Two, we had 20 minutes to go finding on Friday night so we
decided to track. Elder McEwan chose the road and we started walking down it.
We agreed to knock the right side of the road but we wanted to start on the
left side with the last house. We knocked and a woman came out and literally
poured her soul out to us. She told us about some past habits and addictions
she had and said she really is trying to change. We taught a little bit about
the Plan of Salvation and focused on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. She asked
us to come in and share more, but there was no man in the house. We had a
return lesson on Saturday where we were able to go teach more in depth. It
was literally the biggest miracle I have seen in this area yet. She is so
prepared.
Last night, we attended a baptism for a man Elder Mcewan
taught in his last area in Woodburn. I was able to see Elder Robinson again and
that just made me happy.
Love yall
Elder Graybill
p.s. So happy I got a pic with
both of my sons
