September 2, 2019
Hello my friends. This week has been one of the longest weeks of my life. But some good stuff happened so here we go.
First, we had a chapel tour with Alex finally! We taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we went throughout the chapel using the paintings on the wall to talk about the 5 points. He was super receptive to the whole thing and was asking really engaging questions. We went into depth about baptism and the reason why it is necessary. He then told us that he keeps getting this "good feeling"  inside of him that keeps bringing him back. We testified to him that it is the Holy Spirit that was comforting him. He agreed to pray about a baptismal date and should be confirming his date tonight when we meet.
Also, this guy that we have struggled to get in contact with, called our branch President and asked if he could come to church and he actually showed up! So that was a miracle.
So we had transfer calls this week and this one is about to get real. I was called to be the Zone Leader in the Forest Grove Zone. I also was called to be the District  Leader. So this will be interesting to juggle both of these things haha.
Elder Ison will be transferred to Redmond where he will be with my good buddy and former companion Elder Morrison. My new companion from Houston Texas will be Elder Mcewan. He came out with me, so this will be fun.
Anyways. I love the mission. It's just great.
